About

Hi, my name’s Emily Wright.

And I design stuff.

I am a current student at Ball State University working towards a degree in journalism graphics.

I currently am the creative director at the iDesk for Ball State Unified Media. I act as the design editor for The Daily News and oversee the lead designer of the newspaper. I also lead creative projects for Unified Media, including enterprise webpages and other graphics and illustrations to supplement a variety of storytelling.

I also work for Ball State’s Digital Publishing Studio where I create interactive apps for the athletic teams and update it as the season goes on.

I’m able to create quality work on a deadline – check it out in my portfolio.

Previously, I worked for the Ball State Daily News as a page and lead designer where I worked alongside a team to produce the paper that would be printed the next day.

I also worked for Ball Bearings Magazine as a designer and photographer. I designed for both the biannual print publication and monthly online editions. I even won 2nd place for the Best Illustration at the 2017 ICPA awards.

When I’m not working, I enjoy scuba diving and traveling.
